About Our School
Donard National School, Donard, Co. Wicklow is a co-educational primary school which caters for 150+ pupils from the village and surrounding areas. We have 8 teachers on staff, two special needs assistants, secretary, caretaker and maintenance staff. The school was built in 1954, extended in 2008 and more recently in 2020. Donard N.S. is a Catholic school under the patronage of the Archbishop of Dublin. It is run by a Board of Management and has an active Parents' Association. It is a 6 classroom school with administration and storage facilities, special educational needs classrooms, P.E. hall, staffroom, school garden, basketball court and sports pitch. We have an Active School Flag Committee, a Student Council and a Green School Committee and we have been awarded 5 Green School flags and an Active School Flag to date.
